Robinhood could be 'the next Charles Schwab’: Analyst

Robinhood (HOOD) posted its first profitable quarter as a public company. Investors, however, were not happy with company shedding one million active users from the quarter before. Mizuho Americas Senior Financial Technology Analyst Dan Dolev tells Yahoo Finance Live, however, that the decline "was very well telegraphed." Dolev says he is "excited" by the company, citing its revenue numbers and its IRA business as just a couple of reasons why. "I'm actually seeing results being very, very strong and, to me, that's more important than a data point on users," Dolev says of Robinhood's second quarter results. Dolev says "the sky's the limit" for Robinhood's retirement business. As Dolev explains, a lot of Robinhood users are young and may not have great retirement savings options. "Over time, as they grow together with Robinhood, and they do more and more, this could be the next Charles Schwab or the next TD Ameritrade. I think that's the opportunity."
