Former U.S. President Donald Trump was announced as one of the speakers at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The event, which is one of the world's largest bitcoin conferences, takes place from July 25 to 27.

Over the past few months, the presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee has expressed strong support for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. 

Last month, Trump said at an event at Mar-a-Lago that he would advocate for bitcoin mining if he becomes president. In May, Trump started accepting political donations in cryptocurrencies. His advocacy has earned him backing from prominent figures in crypto such as Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood.
