Brandon Green emphasizes safety at Bitcoin Nashville after attempted Trump assassination

Trump will not be the only elected official in attendance this year, but conference organizers say there is nothing to worry about.

The Bitcoin Conference in Nashville is taking place next week, bringing together tens of thousands of crypto enthusiasts, industry leaders, and investors. This year, two out of three major presidential candidates will also be in attendance, along with a number of congressional representatives.

The conference is occurring just two weeks after former President Trump was nearly assassinated during a rally in Pennsylvania and one of the attendees was killed in the crossfire. Trump has since reaffirmed his commitment to speak at Bitcoin 2024 next weekend after his first public appearance since the shooting during the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Security measures at the conference have been ramped up since the assassination attempt occurred. Brandon Green, Chief of Staff at the Bitcoin Conference, said “This is going to be an incredibly safe event. We’re spending a lot of time making sure the security measures are going to be as fluid as possible for attendees.”

Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. and former candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will be speaking at the conference as well, alongside both Tennessee state senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn.

Green also states that they have been working with the "beefed up secret service" to ensure the safety of all attendees and speakers. They expect at least 20,000 people to attend the conference over the 3 days.

President Trump is slated to deliver his keynote address at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville on July 27.
