  • Fetch.ai partners with Imperial College London to launch a new innovation lab in London.
  • The Fetch.ai Innovation Lab aims to foster collaboration between academia, industry, and students to drive AI-driven solutions.

Fetch.ai has established an innovation lab at the White City Campus of Imperial College London in collaboration with I-X, Imperial College London’s research institute, according to a Thursday announcement. The new lab will focus on advancing artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and autonomous systems.

Through its innovation lab, Fetch.ai aims to create innovative solutions to address global challenges. The team expects that it will foster collaboration between industry, academia, and students to push the boundaries of AI for real-world applications.

“We are excited to continue our collaboration with I-X on this pioneering initiative,” said Sana Wajid, Chief Development Officer of Fetch.ai Innovation Labs. “Together, we aim to create a vibrant ecosystem that fosters innovation, nurtures talent, and brings together academia, industry, and government to drive meaningful technological advancements.”

The Fetch.ai Innovation Lab has three primary objectives, including “Accelerating AI-Driven Innovation,” “Fetch.ai Ambassador Innovator Club,” and “Fetch.ai Internship Incubator Program.”

Through its Startup Accelerator, Fetch.ai aims to support early-stage startups and help them grow into industry leaders in AI. The project has allocated $10 million in funding to support AI projects globally, including in San Francisco, India, and London.

The ambassador program will offer hackathons, workshops, and networking opportunities to stimulate groundbreaking ideas and empower innovators to build AI applications using autonomous agents.

The incubator program will offer internships, giving talented individuals hands-on experience working on real-world AI projects. The lab will also hold workshops and events to promote learning and showcase successful AI applications.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Fetch.ai and participating in this exciting initiative,” said Professor Sophia Yaliraki, I-X Co-Director for Engagement. “I-X’s involvement in the Innovation Lab marks another significant step in our mission to catalyze societal change through AI and digital technologies.”

According to Professor Yaliraki, the partnership will create a vibrant ecosystem that nurtures talent, facilitates collaboration between academia and industry, and drives meaningful technological advancements. This includes bringing academia, policymakers, and the community together to create robust AI solutions that serve the public good.

Fetch.ai’s London-based innovation lab debuts after the successful opening of its San Francisco lab in August. The new lab is open to partnerships with industries and organizations interested in AI research, industrial PhDs, and collaborations on AI-driven solutions.
