Crypto custodian Cactus Custody has completed SOC 2 Type II audit by Deloitte to meet security standards across APAC.

Asia’s cryptocurrency custodian Cactus Custody founded by Jihan Wu has completed the SOC 2 Type II compliance review conducted by Deloitte to meet “global security standards,” the firm said in a Monday press release on Oct. 28.

Wendy Jiang, general manager of Cactus Custody, praised the attestation, saying it reflects the firm’s “commitment” to protecting client assets as well as strengthens “trust and positions us as a reliable partner in digital asset custody.” Jiang added that the custodian manages “billions in assets for over 300 institutions,” operating under a Hong Kong trust company.

“This audit demonstrates our ability to meet global security standards, ensuring clients across APAC and beyond that their digital assets are managed securely in line with industry best practices and regulations.”

A SOC 2 Type II audit evaluates an organization’s operational effectiveness over a period, usually six months, and assesses controls related to data security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Unlike SOC 2 Type I, which focuses on a specific point in time, Type II attests to sustained performance.

Founded in 2019 by crypto veterans Jihan Wu and John Ge, Cactus Custody operates as a subsidiary of Matrixport, offering secure digital asset management across more than 30 blockchains. The firm has received backing from prominent venture capital investors, including Polychain, K3 Ventures, and Lightspeed.
