Bitcoin just 10% away from $100,000—Holiday surge in sight?

Bitcoin may soon hit $100,000 with 2025 forecasts promising continued growth for the cryptocurrency.

As bitcoin edges within a 10% surge of the coveted $100,000 mark, Co-Host of Altcoin Daily, Austin Arnold, sat down with Brian Harrington, Senior Marketing Manager at Fold, to discuss the cryptocurrency's potential to hit this milestone by Thanksgiving and its trajectory into 2025.

"Bitcoin price is now a 10% pump away from a hundred thousand dollars per coin," Austin Arnold noted, highlighting the nearness of this significant benchmark. He asked Brian Harrington, "Do you think $100,000 by Thanksgiving is fair?" Harrington responded enthusiastically, " I completely think that's fair and I'm completely ready for it because Thanksgiving is the Super Bowl of being a bitcoiner."

Harrington emphasized the importance of the holiday season for cryptocurrency advocacy. "You're with your family, you're with your friends and you're able to again remind them bitcoin is better than fiat money," he said. "Fix the money, fix the world. bitcoin's better than fiat, and you're able to just remind those that are closest to you every single year."

Looking beyond the immediate future, Arnold inquired about the 2025 forecast given the current momentum. "What is your price forecast for 2025?" he asked. Harrington predicted a steady climb: "I think 2025 is just escalator from $100,000 to $200,000. I think it's just going to be a simple just month on month, week on week just escalated to $200,000. Now that $100,000 is basically baked in with the holidays this year."

Addressing potential risks, Arnold questioned what could prevent bitcoin from reaching new heights. Harrington pointed to public perception and understanding as key factors. "I think the biggest risk for that is people just not understanding how to incorporate it into their personal finances," he explained. He warned that if bitcoin "Just gets lumped in with all the other ticker symbols that you could buy that just are just investments," it might lose its unique appeal and excitement, potentially capping the rally prematurely.
