Ryanair Holdings Plc said it was forced to cancel more than 350 flights over two days late last month when air-traffic control in the UK was hit by an outage, disrupting air space across the country.

The Irish low-cost airline said in a traffic statistics release on Monday that 63,000 of its passengers faced cancellations on Aug. 28 and 29 because of the issue at UK airspace manager NATS. Ryanair said the cause of the technical failure, which happened on a national bank holiday, has not yet been explained.
