Ukrainian infantry advanced beyond anti-tank obstacles in the southern Zaporizhzhia region, according to the Institute for the Study of War, while commanders told President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of ammunition and personnel shortages in the east as he visited troops in the Donetsk region.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said the Kremlin won’t stage regular large-scale military exercises scheduled for this month. “We have ‘exercises’ in Ukraine,” he told reporters in the Black Sea town of Sochi, state-run Tass reported.
