Maserati CEO Davide Grasso says the brand has not been impacted by the United Auto Workers strike yet. Maserati's parent company, Stellantis NV, is involved in the strikes. Maserati is made in Italy, but Grasso says long term impacts of the strike could be far reaching. Saudi Arabia is in talks with Tesla about setting up a manufacturing facility there, people familiar with the discussions said, as part of an ambitious push by the kingdom to secure metals needed for electric vehicles and help diversify its economy away from oil. Tesla didn’t respond to a request for comment before publication of this article. Saudi Arabia has been wooing Tesla with the right to purchase certain quantities of metals and minerals the company needs for its EVs from countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, some of the people said.
A railroad worker died over the weekend after he was struck by a remote-controlled train in a CSX railyard in Ohio, raising concerns among unions about such technology.
