United Airlines Holdings Inc. is going all in on its cheapest fares, saying its higher-quality product will lure the most price-sensitive travelers away from deep discount rivals.

Third-quarter revenue from those tickets rose 50% from the same period of 2022, the carrier said Wednesday on a conference call to discuss financial results. It expects those numbers to grow as it brings larger aircraft into its fleet, making it affordable for United to offer more seats at the low-end fare.
