VinFast stock down 75% since IPO: Is it time to buy in?

Shares of Vietnamese EV maker VinFast (VFS) have plunged over 75% since its public debut in August. With pledges from multiple countries to reduce or eliminate fossil fuels, EVs are seen as an inevitability for transportation and therefore a great investment for the future. Does VinFast make the cut for a great investment? Chardan Research Managing Director Brian Dobson joins Yahoo Finance to discuss why he is bullish on VinFast and why, problems in production aside, the company has a bright future ahead. "We've spoken with [VinFast] management at length regarding the extraordinarily limited float, it is our chief concern. It's what's keeping... institutions away from the shares, because they're is simply not enough liquidity to get involved in a meaningful way," Dobson says. "I think management is aware of this, I think that over time they'll work on the way to add additional non-diluted equity offerings in order to bolster that float, it will simply take time."
