China is readying to launch a rocket which will send a team of three astronauts to the nation’s space station.

Shenzhou 17 is scheduled to launch Thursday at 11:14 a.m. local time, Lin Xiqiang, a spokesperson for China’s space program, said at a media briefing on Wednesday. The spacecraft arrived at its launch site near Jiuquan in the northwest of China on Oct. 19 and underwent tests on Oct. 22, state broadcaster CCTV said.
