In the latest episode, Lululemon founder Chip Wilson talks about taking unlikely bets that could have huge rewards.

The last episode of The Businessweek Show interviewed risk takers about risks, and this week’s show ups the stakes. Billionaire Lululemon Athletica Inc. founder Chip Wilson is spending $100 million of his own money to cure his rare form of muscular dystrophy. It’s a moonshot—extremely difficult, highly unlikely, and the payoff huge.

It turns out that talking to a billionaire about moonshots comes with the exact same set of problems as asking anybody about their lives. The way we see ourselves—our most far-out goals, serious shortcomings or proudest successes—isn’t usually the way anyone else sees us. But billionaire interviews come with the same set of opportunities as any other interview: Sometimes people reveal themselves.
