Macquarie Group Ltd.’s quantitative research team is backing short odds second-favorite Without a Fight to win Australia’s biggest horse race on Tuesday, while its AI-inspired tipping system names Gold Trip as the victor.

Macquarie sees Without a Fight coming out on top in its traditional quantitative method, followed by Future History and short-odds favorite Vauban, according to a Nov. 6 note. The Macquarie team also leveraged Artificial Intelligence technology this year, PunterGPT, for some AI-Inspired picks including top selection Gold Trip — last year’s winner — followed by Without a Fight and Daqiansweet Junior.
