Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa resigned amid an investigation into possible crimes of corruption involving lithium and hydrogen projects.

Costa, who announced his resignation in a speech in Lisbon, said he won’t run in the early elections that the Portuguese president will likely call. Portuguese stocks fell, with the benchmark PSI index dropping as much as 3%.
