Russia fired 19 missiles and 19 Shahed drones in an overnight barrage, the Ukrainian air force said on Telegram. Ukrainian air defense downed five cruise Kalibr and Iskander missiles as well as 13 drones. Missiles were fired from Russian-occupied Crimea, as well as from strategic bombers.

Foreign ministers of the European Union will discuss Ukraine at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday, with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Ukraine’s Dmytro Kuleba taking part via video link. Before the meeting Josep Borrell, the EU’s foreign affairs chief, called Russia ending the Black Sea grain deal, and attacking Ukrainian grain facilities, “a barbarian attitude.” He told reporters: “If this grain is not only stuck, but destroyed, it means there will be a shortage of food, of grain in the world.”
