MBA Alternative Augment Clinches $3.7 Million in New Funding

The online-only courses have brought a MasterClass sensibility to the business school space.

Augment.org, the French startup offering an online MBA taught in English by well-known business leaders and founders, has obtained $3.7 million in new seed funding, enough to allow it to add more lessons and pursue a global expansion.

Their solution, to build courses around elegantly filmed presentations by entrepreneurs such as Jimmy Wales (Wikipedia) and Chris Barton (Shazam), reeled in a $2.3 million investment within a matter of weeks. Since March 2023, Augment has enrolled 500 students; 80 have graduated. And 150 of them, says Wellner, have added Augment to their LinkedIn profiles.
