‘Load Up,’ Says Raymond James About These 2 ‘Strong Buy’ Stocks
There have been abundant returns for investors this year as the markets have staged a remarkable comeback following 2022’s rout. But with both the S&P 500, and particularly the NASDAQ, delivering excellent returns, the big hitters have been responsible for much of the market gains. Raymond James CIO Larry Adam summed it up, saying, “Narrow leadership has been a key theme in the positive performance year-to-date, with mega-cap tech the main driver of the market’s performance… In our 3Q Outlook, w

AT&T tops free cash flow estimates on cost cuts, subscriber additions
The telecom firm posted free cash flow of $4.2 billion in the three months ended June, compared with analysts' estimates of $3.60 billion, according to Visible Alpha. The results marked an improvement from the first quarter and showed the benefits of a cost-cutting plan that helped shave off more than $1 billion in operating expenses during the reported period through measures such as a reduction in office locations. A lower cost bill is crucial for AT&T as it needs a steady flow of cash to service its net debt of $132 billion and support a dividend that is among the highest for U.S stocks.

Cathie Wood Loads Up on These 2 ‘Strong Buy’ Stocks Under $10
Since hitting bottom last October, the S&P 500 has bounced back strongly – in fact, it’s up approximately 27% from that trough. A rally of that magnitude meets the definition of a bull market, and some economists are saying we’re experiencing just that. Among the bulls is Cathie Wood, who believes that a big shift is taking place. “The market is starting to look to the other side of the interest rate increase and they’re starting to look at inflation which is crumbling,” she noted. As interest rates approach a likely peak, now is the moment for bond investors to venture beyond short-term cash to longer maturities, experts say. All eyes will be on the Federal Open Market Committee Wednesday afternoon for what is widely expected to be a 0.25 percentage point increase to the benchmark rate. Investors will be watching to see whether Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell offers any thoughts about the trajectory of inflation and the health of the labor market, which will determine whether officials increase rates again before the end of the year.

These 2 ‘Strong Buy’ Penny Stocks Could Go Boom, Say Analysts
Since the beginning of January, we’ve seen a steady rise in the stock markets. The NASDAQ is up 35% so far this year, and the S&P 500 has gained 19%. There has clearly been a shift in investor sentiment, away from last year’s bear market. The shift makes sense. The annualized rate of inflation peaked at 9.1% last June, fell to 6.5% by December, and has since fallen further. The June 2023 data showed annualized inflation at just 3%. Additionally, Goldman Sachs currently assesses the probability o

Rio Tinto profit misses on iron ore price slump, cuts dividend
MELBOURNE (Reuters) -Rio Tinto's first-half underlying earnings fell to their lowest in three years as easing iron ore prices offset an uptick in shipments from its Pilbara operations, it said on Wednesday, while also announcing a dividend cut. Iron ore accounts for 70% of Rio Tinto's profit and prices for the raw material used to make steel could improve going forward as Beijing has pledged to roll out more policies to boost growth after the world's second-largest economy struggled with an uneven recovery in the first half of the year. Rio, the world's biggest iron ore producer, was cautiously optimistic on China's economy over the rest of the year, CEO Jacob Stausholm said.
