Over the last decade, the UK has seen a surge of companies embracing employee ownership as a model. Between 2011 and 2023, employee ownership trusts, or EOTs, grew at an average annual rate of 16%, compared with 2% growth for all UK companies over the same period, according to London-based consultancy and communications agency ING.
