These 10 Cities Are Suffering Most From Britain’s Productivity Woes

A new report says the vast majority of UK cities are falling behind due to a lack of investment nationwide.

The typical Briton lost out on an average of £10,200 ($12,975) in the 12 years from 2010 because of slower growth, with most cities in the UK falling behind, a new report estimates.

The figure rises to £45,240 for residents of Aberdeen, the worst-hit city in the report, which has suffered from declining production in the offshore oil and gas industry and has lost 9,000 jobs in areas related to the sector. The Scottish city is a hub for North Sea oil works.
