MicroStrategy acquires 3K bitcoins for $155.4M, raising its total holdings to 193K.

MicroStrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) acquired about 3K bitcoins (BTC-USD) for ~$155.4M in cash between Feb. 15 and Feb. 25, the company disclosed in an SEC filing on Monday. The coins were purchased at an average price of $51.8K each.

The latest buys bring MicroStrategy's (MSTR) total bitcoin (BTC-USD) holdings up to 193K tokens, with an average price of $31.5K each.

The price of bitcoin (BTC-USD) stood at $51.3K in Monday morning trading, putting MicroStrategy's paper profit at about $3.8B.

MicroStrategy (MSTR) stock gained 1.5% in premarket trading.
