As the need for AI skills in the workforce continues to grow, LinkedIn Chief Economist Karin Kimbrough joins Yahoo Finance Live to discuss the importance of digital skills in the workforce. Kimbrough explains "how quickly jobs are changing." "Almost 25 percent of the skills required have changed just in the last 7 or 8 years," Kimbrough says, and "most of the skills that are changing, are digital skills." "We're going to need to be life-long learners, we're going to need to kind of continuously update our understanding of technology," Kimbrough adds. As technology continues to advance and evolve, Kimbrough notes, that "it's not enough to go off for four years and learn everything you need for the career for the rest of your life. You should expect that you need to kind of continually upskill." Kimbrough also adds that people skills are "critical skills" that are just as important as AI skills.
